Thank you for signing up to become a National Year of Reading Champion

Open to anyone over 18, anywhere in the UK, becoming a National Year of Reading Champion is a simple, low-touch way to support the National Year of Reading 2026 and Go All In.

The role is about encouraging reading for pleasure by connecting it to the things people already enjoy, in everyday places like homes, workplaces and communities. No specialist knowledge or previous experience is needed.

By signing up, you’ll receive a handbook and a monthly newsletter filled with ideas and prompts to help you take small, flexible actions that fit easily around your life. You choose how and when to get involved, making it easy to play a part in creating a lasting culture of reading for pleasure.

If you have any questions or issues, please email nyrchampions@literacytrust.org.uk
